Walking
From any point in Riedenburg, head towards the Mönchsberg mountain. Look for the path leading up towards Mönchsberg as this will take you closer to Lodronsche Stadtbefestigung. The journey will involve walking uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach the top, follow the signs to 'Lodronsche Stadtbefestigung' which will direct you to the north side of the Mönchsberg.

If you prefer not to walk uphill, you can take a bus from Riedenburg to the city center. Board bus line 3 or 5 at any nearby bus stop. Ride until you reach the 'Makartplatz' stop, which is close to the old town. From there, walk towards the Mönchsberg, following the signs labeled 'Mönchsberg' or 'Festung Hohensalzburg'. This walk will lead you directly to the entrance of Lodronsche Stadtbefestigung. Note that the bus fare is approximately €2.50.
