From Fuschlsee, start your journey by taking the B158 road towards Salzburg. After approximately 16 km, merge onto the A1 motorway towards Salzburg. Continue for about 10 km and take the exit for Salzburg Nord. Follow signs for the city center. Once in the center, follow the signs for Mönchsberg where the Festung Hohensalzburg is located. There is parking available near the base of the fortress, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
From Fuschlsee, take the bus number 150 towards Salzburg. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Salzburg Mirabellplatz stop. From there, walk towards the Festung Hohensalzburg, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. Alternatively, you can take the funicular railway from the base of the fortress to the top, which has a fee of approximately €10 for a round trip.
