From the center of Zell am See, head towards the Schmittenhöhebahn cable car station located at Schmittenstraße 119. It's about a 20-minute walk. Once you reach the cable car station, purchase a ticket for the Schmittenhöhebahn. The cable car will take you up to Schmittenhöhe. After reaching the top, follow the marked hiking trails towards Breiteck Alm. The walk from the cable car station to Breiteck Alm is approximately 30-40 minutes, and well-signposted. From the main train station in Zell am See, take bus line 660 towards 'Schmittenhöhe'. This journey takes around 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Schmittenhöhe' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Schmittenhöhebahn cable car station. Once there, buy a ticket for the cable car to ascend to the top. After reaching the summit, follow the designated trails to Breiteck Alm, which is about a 30-40 minute hike from the cable car station.
