    From Zell am See train station or Postplatz bus terminal, take bus number 660 towards Kaprun. Get off at the 'Schmittenhöhebahn' stop. Walk approximately 200m along Schmittenstraße to the CityXpress valley station. Purchase a CityXpress round-trip ticket (€22.50). Take the cable car to the mountain station, followed by a short walk to the reservoir. Bus fare: €2-€3.

    Drive to the CityXpress valley station (Franz-Wisgrill-Strasse, 5700 Zell am See). Park at the APCOA Rathaus underground car park (Hypolithstrasse 2, 5700 Zell am See). Walk 200m along Hypolithstrasse to Gartenstrasse, then turn right to the CityXpress valley station. Purchase a CityXpress round-trip ticket (€22.50). Take the gondola to the mountain station, a short walk to the reservoir. Parking fees: approximately €2.50 per hour.

Follow hiking trail no. 50 to the CityXpress mountain station, then continue on trail no. 55 to the reservoir. The hike is approximately 3.4 km uphill and takes around 1.5 - 2 hours. Alternatively, take the CityXpress gondola (€22.50 round trip) to avoid the initial ascent.
