Getting There

• Private Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Dhaka city. Use the main highways, such as the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway or the N1 highway, depending on your starting location. Once you reach Dhaka, navigate toward the Ramna area. Look for University Street, which leads directly to Doel Chattor located in the Dhaka University Playground. There is parking available nearby, but be aware of any parking fees that may apply.

• Bus

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to Dhaka from various locations in Western Bengal. Buses frequently run from major towns to Dhaka. Once in Dhaka, you can take a local bus or CNG (auto-rickshaw) to reach the Ramna area. Ask the driver to drop you off at University Street, where Doel Chattor is situated. Ensure you have some Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) on hand for the bus fare and any other transportation costs.

• Train

  If you choose to travel by train, take a train from your nearest station to Dhaka. The main train station in Dhaka is Kamalapur Railway Station. From the station, you can hire a taxi or take a CNG to Ramna. Make sure to confirm with the driver that you want to go to University Street to reach Doel Chattor. Train tickets vary in price, so it’s best to check current rates before your journey.

• CNG (Auto-rickshaw)

  Once you have arrived in the Ramna area of Dhaka, you can also use CNGs to navigate to Doel Chattor. Simply tell the driver to take you to the Dhaka University Playground on University Street. The fare will depend on the distance traveled, so it’s advisable to negotiate the price beforehand if you are not using a meter.
