Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Blankenberge, head towards the coast and follow the main street, Zeelaan, westwards until you reach the beach. Once at the beach, turn left and walk along the promenade. Continue walking until you reach the Blankenberge train station. From there, take the train to Bruges (Brugge). The train ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Bruges train station, exit the station and follow the signs to the city center. Walk straight down the 'Koningin Astridlaan' street, which will lead you to 'Stationsplein', a large square. Continue straight until you reach the 'Markt', the Market Square, which is a large open area surrounded by historical buildings. You will see the impressive Belfry of Bruges in front of you.

    If you prefer to travel by bicycle, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Blankenberge. Start by cycling towards the coast on Zeelaan, then turn left onto the promenade.
