From the Markt square in Bruges, head east towards the Burg square. Continue straight on Wollestraat, which will turn into Langestraat. Follow this road until you reach the train station, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Once at the station, take a train to Ghent. The journey will take around 30 minutes. After arriving at Ghent station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Take tram line 1 towards 'Gent Dampoort'. Get off at the 'Groentenmarkt' stop. From there, you can easily walk to Groentenmarkt, which is a short distance away.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Bruges. Start from the Markt square and cycle towards the east along the canals. Continue following the cycling paths towards Ghent, which is about 30 minutes away by bike. Once in Ghent, follow signs for the city center. You can park your bike near Groentenmarkt, which is easily accessible and located in the heart of the city.
Public Transport
From Bruges, make your way to the train station. You can walk there in about 15 minutes from the Markt. Buy a ticket to Ghent at the station. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ghent station, follow the signs to the tram station. Board tram line 1 toward 'Gent Dampoort' and get off at 'Groentenmarkt'. The market is then within walking distance from the tram stop.
