To get to Xunantunich from Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary by car, start by heading southwest on the road leading out of the sanctuary. You will need to take the B763 highway towards the town of San Ignacio. After approximately 35 minutes, you will reach the junction with the Western Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Turn left onto the Western Highway and continue for about 10 minutes until you reach the town of San Jose Succotz. Follow the signs to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. You will need to cross the Mopan River using a hand-cranked ferry, which costs approximately BZD 5 per person. Once across the river, follow the signs uphill to the ruins. The entire journey takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes.

To reach Xunantunich from Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary using public transportation, first, take a bus from Crooked Tree to Belize City. The bus leaves regularly and costs about BZD 3. From Belize City, take a bus heading to San Ignacio, which costs around BZD 10.
