    From the center of San Ignacio, start at the main bus terminal located on Burns Avenue. Exit the terminal and head southeast towards the intersection with West Street. Continue straight onto West Street until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway (the main road). Turn left onto the Hummingbird Highway. Follow the highway for approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) until you reach Mile 42. Look for signs for St Herman's Blue Hole Visitor Center on your right. It is approximately a 30-45 minute walk depending on your pace.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Ignacio. Start at the central square near the Macal River and head towards Burns Avenue to locate the main bus terminal. From there, turn onto West Street, which will lead you to Hummingbird Highway. Keep cycling along the highway for about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) until you arrive at Mile 42.
