Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of San Ignacio, start at the main bus terminal located on Burns Avenue. Exit the terminal and head southeast towards the intersection with West Street. Continue straight onto West Street until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway (the main road). Turn left onto the Hummingbird Highway. Follow the highway for approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) until you reach Mile 42. Look for signs for St Herman's Blue Hole Visitor Center on your right. It is approximately a 30-45 minute walk depending on your pace.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Ignacio. Start at the central square near the Macal River and head towards Burns Avenue to locate the main bus terminal. From there, turn onto West Street, which will lead you to Hummingbird Highway. Keep cycling along the highway for about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) until you arrive at Mile 42. Look for the entrance to St Herman's Blue Hole Visitor Center on your right. This ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the main bus terminal in San Ignacio, look for a bus heading towards Belmopan. Inform the driver that you are going to St Herman's Blue Hole Visitor Center. The bus will stop at Mile 42 Hummingbird Highway. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance, which will be on your right. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in San Ignacio. Provide the driver with the address: Mile 42 Hummingbird Highway, and mention the St Herman's Blue Hole Visitor Center. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you off right at the entrance.
