From Dagana, take the road heading northeast towards Thimphu. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the junction for the Phajoding-Pumola Trail. Turn left at the junction and continue on this road. Follow the signs for Phajoding Monastery. The drive should take around 1 hour, depending on road conditions. Note that parking may be limited near the monastery.

Start at Dagana bus station and take a bus heading towards Thimphu. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Phajoding-Pumola Trail. The bus ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the junction, you will need to either walk or hire a local taxi to reach the monastery, which is about a 30-minute drive from the junction. Be prepared for a bit of a hike from the drop-off point to the monastery itself.
