Getting There

Walking
From the center of Punakha, walk towards the main road leading to Thimphu. You can start at the Punakha Dzong, heading north towards the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight along the road. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the intersection with the Thimphu road. Turn right at the intersection and continue walking for approximately 30 minutes, passing through local neighborhoods and enjoying the scenery. Keep an eye out for local shops and eateries along the way. Finally, you will arrive at the Ludrong Memorial Garden located at FJRP+QJC, Thimphu.

Public Transport
From Punakha, head to the nearest bus station, which is located near the Punakha Dzong. Look for a bus heading to Thimphu. The journey will take around 2 hours. When you arrive in Thimphu, get off at the main bus terminal. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Ludrong Memorial Garden. If walking, head northeast from the bus terminal towards FJRP+QJC, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the garden.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Punakha. Start your journey by cycling towards Thimphu along the main road. The route is scenic but be cautious of the traffic. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Thimphu. Once you enter Thimphu, continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Thimphu road. Turn right and cycle for about 10 more minutes until you arrive at Ludrong Memorial Garden, located at FJRP+QJC.
