Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Thimphu. Head east on Norzin Lam towards the junction with the Kawang Jangsa road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, passing by the Clock Tower and Tashichho Dzong. After you cross the bridge over the Wang Chhu River, take a left turn onto Pedzoe Lam. The National Library & Archives of Bhutan will be on your left, approximately 500 meters down the road. Look for the building with traditional Bhutanese architecture. Parking is available nearby.

To reach the National Library & Archives of Bhutan via public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop in Thimphu. Take the bus that heads towards Kawang Jangsa. The fare is usually around 10-20 Ngultrum per person. Once on the bus, inform the driver of your destination, or look for the stop near the National Library. The library is a short walk from the bus stop. After getting off the bus, walk down Pedzoe Lam for about 5 minutes to reach the library.

For a direct and comfortable ride, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Thimphu. The fare to the National Library & Archives of Bhutan will typically range from 150 to 300 Ngultrum, depending on your starting location. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to the National Library on Pedzoe Lam. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
