Travel Guide to Vrh Velike Petke

Getting There

• Car

  Start your journey from Trebinje center. Head northwest on Bulevar oslobodjenja toward the E65 road. Follow the E65 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Put na vrh Petke. Take the exit and follow Put na vrh Petke for approximately 5 kilometers. The road will lead you to the observation deck at Vrh Velike Petke, where you'll find parking available near the site.

• Public Transportation

  From Trebinje, take a bus heading towards Dubrovnik. The bus departs regularly from the main bus station in Trebinje. You will need to get off at the last stop in the vicinity of Dubrovnik. Once you arrive, you can either take a taxi directly to Vrh Velike Petke or walk approximately 2 kilometers to the access road leading to the observation deck.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Trebinje to Vrh Velike Petke. This will cost approximately 30-50 BAM (Bosnian Convertible Marks) depending on the negotiation with the driver. Ensure the taxi driver is familiar with the location, as it may not be a common tourist destination.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous, if you choose to hike, you can start your trek from the nearest villages. It is recommended to have a local guide or map, as the trails are not well-marked. Make sure to wear suitable hiking gear and bring water and snacks, as the hike can take several hours depending on your starting point.
