Walking
The primary access to Cachoeira do Sossego is on foot from Lençóis. The trailhead is located near the town center. The hike is approximately 8 km each way and takes around 2-3 hours to reach the waterfall. It's advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and allow ample time for the return journey. The trail is shared with the route to Ribeirão do Meio for a portion of the way. Follow signs towards Ribeirão do Meio initially, but continue further along the Rio Ribeirão to reach Cachoeira do Sossego. A guide is highly recommended due to the challenging terrain and poorly marked sections. There is no entrance fee to access the Cachoeira do Sossego or the Chapada Diamantina National Park.

Taxi
While the primary access is by foot, a taxi can shorten the initial walking distance from Lençóis. Arrange for a taxi to drop you off as close as possible to the trailhead of the Cachoeira do Sossego. This will save some walking on the initial flat section. From there, continue on foot following the walking guidance. A taxi from Lençóis to the trailhead will cost approximately R$35-45. Negotiate the price beforehand. There are no fixed taxi stands, so you will need to call a taxi or arrange through your accommodation.
