Bus

From Salvador, take a bus to Lençóis, the gateway town to Chapada Diamantina. The journey is approximately 7 hours. Check bus schedules and book tickets in advance, especially during peak season. A bus ticket will cost around R$ 100-150.

Car

If driving from Salvador, take BR-324 and BR-242 to Lençóis. The drive is approximately 420 km. Be aware that some roads within the park may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is generally available in Lençóis, with rates around R$20-30 per day.

Lençóis, known as the gateway to Chapada Diamantina, is the best place to stay for exploring the park, offering a variety of tours and hikes.Key attractions include the Cachoeira da Fumaça (Smoke Waterfall), one of Brazil's highest waterfalls , the mesmerizing Poço Encantado underground lake , and the Gruta Lapa Doce cave system. Multi-day treks, such as the Vale do Pati, offer immersive experiences through the park's remote and stunning areas.
