Getting There

• Bus

  Start your journey at the main bus terminal in Florianópolis, known as Terminal Rodoviário Rita Maria. Look for buses heading to Ribeirão da Ilha. The bus route you want is 'Ribeirão da Ilha', which typically runs every 30-60 minutes. The bus fare is inexpensive, but be sure to have some Brazilian Reais on hand for the ticket. Once you arrive at Ribeirão da Ilha, get off at the last stop. From there, you can ask local residents for directions to Praia do Saquinho, as it is a bit off from the main road.

  After getting off the bus in Ribeirão da Ilha, you will need to walk to Praia do Saquinho. Head towards the beach area and follow the coastline south. It's approximately a 30-minute walk.
