Getting There

Bus
From the center of Rio de Janeiro, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal Rodoviário Novo Rio. Once there, look for a bus heading towards 'Prainha' or 'Grumari' and board it. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the 'Grumari' stop. From there, you will need to walk towards the beach, following the signs that indicate 'Praia do Perigoso'. It's about a 20-minute walk through a lush path. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Take the metro from 'Carioca' station (Line 1) towards 'Jardim Oceanico'. Get off at 'Jardim Oceanico' station. Exit the metro and walk to the bus stop nearby. Look for a bus that heads to 'Grumari'. After about 30 minutes on the bus, get off at the 'Grumari' stop. From there, follow the walking path for approximately 20 minutes to reach Praia do Perigoso.

If you enjoy biking, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Copacabana Beach. Follow the bike path along the coast towards Barra da Tijuca. Continue on the bike path until you reach the entrance to Grumari Beach. From there, you will have to bike for about 30 minutes more on the road leading to Praia do Perigoso.
