From Barra de Guaratiba, the primary access point, follow the signs for Praia do Perigoso. The trail is approximately 1.5 km (45 minutes to 1 hour). The trail has some steep sections and can be slippery, so wear appropriate shoes. There are no entrance fees or tolls to access the trail or beach.
Public Transport
From Rio de Janeiro, take bus line 867 to Barra de Guaratiba. From the bus stop in Barra de Guaratiba, follow the walking directions to the beach. A single bus fare within Rio de Janeiro typically costs around R$4.05.
