Getting There

• Walking

  O Cravinho is located on Largo Terreiro de Jesus in Pelourinho, a pedestrian-friendly area. From Praça da Sé, walk northeast along Rua da Misericórdia, then turn left onto Ladeira da Praça. Continue onto Rua Chile, then turn right onto Rua Alfredo de Brito. Turn left onto Largo Terreiro de Jesus. O Cravinho will be on your right, near the Basilica Cathedral. This is a mostly flat walk with cobblestone streets; wear comfortable shoes.

• Public Transport

  From the Campo da Pólvora metro station, walk northwest on Rua Jogo do Bicho toward Ladeira da सोledade. Turn right onto Ladeira da सोledade. Continue onto Rua Dr. J.J. Seabra. Turn left onto Rua Saldanha da Gama. Turn right onto Rua da Ajuda. Continue onto Rua Inácio Aciolly. Turn right onto Largo Terreiro de Jesus. O Cravinho will be on your left, near the Basilica Cathedral. A single metro ticket costs R$4.10.

• Taxi/Ride-Sharing

  Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and 99 are readily available in Salvador. From most points in the city, you can simply request a ride to Largo Terreiro de Jesus in Pelourinho. Be aware that traffic in Pelourinho can be heavy, especially during peak hours. A short taxi ride within the central area typically costs between R$15 and R$25. There may be additional charges depending on the time of day.
