Getting There

  • Taxi

    Taxis are a popular and readily available mode of transport to Coral World Ocean Park. Taxi stands are located at the cruise ship docks, hotels, and the downtown shopping district. A taxi from the Havensight or Crown Bay cruise ship docks or downtown to Coral World costs approximately $20 per person for two or more passengers; rates vary from each hotel depending on its location. Confirm the rate with the driver before starting your trip. The ride takes about 20-25 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    Public transportation is available from downtown and near the cruise ship dock. Take the bus that reads “Red Hook” and tell the driver you are going to Coral World. The bus stop nearest to Coral World is about a 10-12 minute walk from the park entrance. The fare is $2 per person, and exact change is required.

  • Driving

    If driving, from Route 38 (Smith Bay Road), turn onto the Coki Point Beach Road at the Coral World sign above Louie's Market, Route 388, about 400 feet past the entrance to the Wyndham Margaritaville Resort when driving west. When driving east on Route 38, turn left at the Coral World sign above Louie's Market about one quarter mile past the Texaco gas station. Alternatively, follow the blue Tommy Starfish road signs along the blue route on your driving guide to Route 388. There is a small paid parking area in a dirt lot, and roadside parking. Parking costs $5. On crowded days, the parking situation can be hectic.
