Ferry and Taxi
To reach Virgin Islands National Park, most visitors arrive via St. Thomas. From the Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas, take a taxi to either Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook. Ferries from Charlotte Amalie have limited departures, while Red Hook offers hourly ferries to Cruz Bay, St. John. The ferry from Red Hook costs $8.15 per person each way for non-residents and the journey is about 20 minutes. Once in Cruz Bay, the Virgin Islands National Park Visitor Center is a short walk from the ferry dock. To access specific beaches or trailheads within the park, taxis and safari buses are readily available in Cruz Bay. Taxi fares vary depending on the destination, so confirm the price with the driver before starting your trip. For example, taxi to Trunk Bay or Cinnamon Bay will cost around $10-$15 per person. Be aware that parking within the park is limited, especially at popular beaches; consider using taxis or public transportation.

From Cruz Bay, the VITRAN bus system offers a limited service along Centerline Road, providing access to some areas of the park. The bus fare is $1 per ride.
