From West End, take a ferry from the West End Ferry Terminal to Cruz Bay on St. John. The ferry operates regularly, and the ride takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Cruz Bay, disembark and follow the signs to the National Park Visitor Center.

After visiting the National Park Visitor Center in Cruz Bay, you can begin your hike to the Francis Bay Trail. Head northeast on the main road (North Shore Road) from the Visitor Center. The trailhead for Francis Bay is approximately 2 miles from Cruz Bay. Look for the marked trail access which will lead you to the beautiful Francis Bay area.

Alternatively, you can catch a safari taxi from Cruz Bay to Francis Bay. These open-air taxis are a colorful and fun way to travel. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Francis Bay, and they will take you directly there. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes.
