Start from the center of Haskovo at Alexander Stamboliyski Square. Head southeast on the main road towards the intersection with Tsar Ivan Asen II Boulevard. Turn left onto Tsar Ivan Asen II Boulevard and continue straight. After about 1.5 kilometers, look for signs directing you towards Mezek. You will reach a fork in the road; take the right path leading to Mezek village. The fortress is approximately 3 kilometers from this fork. Follow the road until you see the signs indicating the Mezek Fortress, which will be on your right.

From Haskovo bus station, take a local bus heading towards Mezek. Buses operate regularly, and you can check the schedule at the station. The journey to Mezek takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mezek village bus stop, exit the bus and walk towards the main road. Follow the signs to Mezek Fortress, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the village center. You will see the fortress ahead as you approach.
