Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Sofia, take the A1 highway towards Trakia. After about 30 km, take the exit towards Dragoman (Exit 31). Follow signs for Dragoman, and after approximately 15 km, you will arrive in Dragoman. The Dragoman Marsh is located just outside the town. Look for signs directing you to the nature preserve. Parking may be available near the entrance.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Sofia Central Bus Station, take a bus heading to Dragoman. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Dragoman, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) to the Dragoman Marsh by heading southeast from the bus station, or you can take a taxi for around 10 BGN (Bulgarian Lev). The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Train

    Board a train from Sofia to Dragoman at Sofia Central Railway Station. The train journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Dragoman Railway Station, you can take a taxi to the Dragoman Marsh, which should cost about 10 BGN and take around 5 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk to the marsh, which would take about 25-30 minutes.
