Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Rila. From Rila, take the road towards Sapareva Banya (Road 62). After about 15 km, take a left turn onto Road 107, which leads to the entrance of Rila National Park. Follow the signs for Rila Monastery as the park entrance is near this historic site. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there may be a small fee for parking.

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from Sofia to the town of Rila. Buses depart regularly from the Central Bus Station in Sofia. Once you arrive in Rila, you can take a local bus or taxi to the Rila Monastery, which is close to the entrance of Rila National Park. Alternatively, you can walk to the park entrance from the monastery, which is about a 20-minute walk. Ensure you check the bus schedules ahead of time as they can vary.
