To reach Fish Lakes Hut using public transportation, take a bus from Sofia to Sapareva Banya. Buses run regularly throughout the day and the journey takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. Once you arrive in Sapareva Banya, you will need to take a taxi to the Rila Monastery parking area (around 20 minutes, will cost approximately 15-20 BGN). From the parking area, you will need to hike to the hut, which takes about 2-3 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time to plan your return.
