Public Transport
The most common way to reach the Pirin Mountains is via bus from Sofia to Bansko. Several buses depart daily from Sofia's Central Bus Station or Ovcha Kupel Bus Station to Bansko. From Bansko, you can take a shuttle bus to Vihren Hut, a popular starting point for hikes in the Northern Pirin. Shuttle buses operate from July 1st to September 15th, with departures at 8:30, 13:20, and 17:00. A one-way bus ticket from Sofia to Bansko costs approximately 15-16 BGN. The shuttle from Bansko to Vihren Hut is around 8 BGN. A taxi from Bansko to Vihren Hut will cost around 25 BGN.

Walking
From Bansko, follow the road south towards the Pirin National Park entrance. The walk to the park entrance takes you through the town. Once inside the park, various trails connect the huts and summits. The walk from the Banderishka meadow (where the gondola from Bansko ends) to Vihren Chalet takes approximately 90 minutes. Be sure to consult a map and plan your route carefully, as trails can be challenging.

Taxi
Taxis are available in Bansko and can take you to the Vihren Hut. The ride is approximately 16 km and can cost around 25 BGN. Be sure to negotiate the price before you get in the taxi. Taxis can also be used to reach Gotse Delchev hut, where you can take a chairlift to Bezbog hut.
