Ensure that your vehicle is suitable for rural roads, as some paths may be unpaved.

To reach Kibira National Park using public transportation, take a bus from Gitega to Busiga. Buses are available frequently throughout the day, and the fare is typically around 1,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). Upon arriving at Busiga, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to 2G22+225, the entrance of Kibira National Park. Be sure to signal for a taxi at the bus stop, and confirm the fare beforehand, which should not exceed 5,000 BIF.
