From Praia de Atalaia, head east on the main road towards Praia. Continue straight for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with the National Highway (EN1). Turn right onto the National Highway and follow the signs for Cidade Velha. After about 5 kilometers, you will arrive at Pelourinho, located at W97V+XXR, National Highway, Cidade Velha. There is parking available nearby.

To reach Pelourinho by public transport, take a local bus from Praia de Atalaia to Praia (the capital city). Buses leave regularly, and the fare is approximately 100 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo). Once in Praia, transfer to a bus heading towards Cidade Velha. The fare for this leg is around 50 CVE. Inform the driver you want to get off at Pelourinho. The total journey may take around 1-1.5 hours depending on connections.
