From the center of Assomada, head west on Rua 5 de Julho towards the intersection with Rua Nova. Turn left onto Rua Nova and continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the local market. From the market, take the path leading to the hillside and follow the signs to Monte Babosa. The hike will take approximately another 30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.

Start at the central square in Assomada and look for the local 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) that goes towards Tarrafal. Inform the driver you want to get off at the trailhead for Monte Babosa.
