The trail is well-marked and will lead you through beautiful landscapes. The hike is approximately 1 mile from the entrance to China Cove. Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop in Big Sur. Take the Monterey-Salinas Transit Bus Line 22 towards Carmel. Get off at the nearest stop to Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. From there, it’s about a 1.5-mile walk to the entrance of the reserve. Once you arrive at Point Lobos, follow the trail signs directing you to China Cove. The path is approximately 1 mile from the entrance. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the natural beauty of the area!

Rent a bicycle at one of the local shops in Big Sur. Start your ride heading south on Highway 1, which has designated bike paths.
