You will pass through a residential area with charming cottages. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with 5th Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the beach area, where you will find signs directing you towards San Carlos Beach.

If you rent a bicycle in Carmel-by-the-Sea, start from the intersection of Ocean Avenue and San Carlos Street. Head south on San Carlos Street and follow the bike path along the streets. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto 5th Avenue. Continue toward the beach area, where you will find access to San Carlos Beach. The ride is pleasant and should take around 10 minutes.

To reach San Carlos Beach using public transport, head to the nearest bus stop on Ocean Avenue. You can catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus line 1 or 2 heading towards Monterey.
