    If you are starting from downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, head south on Ocean Avenue until you reach San Carlos Street. Turn left onto San Carlos and continue walking until you reach 10th Avenue. Make a right turn onto 10th Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mission Street, where you will turn left. Continue on Mission Street until you reach the intersection with 12th Avenue. Here, you will see Butterfly House. It should be on your left-hand side.

    From downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Start on Ocean Avenue heading south, then turn left onto San Carlos Street. Proceed until you reach 10th Avenue and turn right. Follow 10th Avenue until you come to Mission Street, then turn left. Continue on Mission until you reach 12th Avenue. Butterfly House will be on your left. Make sure to park your bike safely nearby.
