    From Castro Valley, walk to the Castro Valley Bart Station located at 3391 Castro Valley Blvd. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Montgomery St. Station. Exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop for the Muni Bus (Line 2 or 3) heading towards '3rd St & Howard St'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop '3rd St & Mission St'. From there, walk approximately 3 minutes to reach the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art located at 151 3rd St.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Castro Valley. Start your journey by heading northwest on Castro Valley Blvd. Merge onto the San Francisco Bay Trail which will lead you through scenic routes. Continue towards the San Francisco Ferry Building and then take the bike lane heading north along Embarcadero St. Finally, turn onto Howard St, and then left on 3rd St to arrive at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 151 3rd St.
