Public Transit
If you're starting from downtown Berkeley, walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station located at 2160 Shattuck Ave. Take the BART train heading to San Francisco/Daly City. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Powell St. station in San Francisco. From there, exit the station and walk towards Market St. Head north on Powell St. until you reach Market St. Turn right onto Market St and walk for about 0.5 miles. You should arrive at 870 Market St #901, where the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation is located.

Bus
From the UC Berkeley campus, walk to the nearest bus stop on Telegraph Ave & Bancroft Way. Take the AC Transit Bus Line 51B towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop at 4th St. & Market St. (near the Westfield San Francisco Centre). From there, walk south on 4th St. for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto Market St. Continue walking on Market St for about 0.3 miles until you reach 870 Market St #901.

If you prefer to walk from downtown Berkeley, start at the corner of University Ave & Shattuck Ave. Head west on University Ave until you reach the waterfront. From there, you can follow the shoreline towards the ferry terminal at the Embarcadero. After about 1.5 miles, you can catch a ferry to San Francisco. Once you arrive at the San Francisco Ferry Building, walk north along the Embarcadero and then turn right onto Market St. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach 870 Market St #901.
