From Chula Vista, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the MTS (Metropolitan Transit System) bus route 704 towards downtown San Diego. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Old Town Transit Center' stop. Once you arrive at the Old Town Transit Center, transfer to the MTS trolley line and take the 'Green Line' towards 'Santee.' Get off at the 'Old Town' stop, which is the next stop after you board the trolley. After disembarking, walk a short distance to Juan St, which is about 0.3 miles away. The Mormon Battalion Historic Site is located at 2510 Juan St; just head northwest on Juan St and follow the signs.

After taking the bus to the Old Town Transit Center, you can simply walk to the Mormon Battalion Historic Site. The site will be on your right at 2510 Juan St.
