Car
If you are traveling by car within the Colorado Desert, the easiest route to Mojave National Preserve is to take Interstate 10 (I-10) East. From I-10, take the exit toward California State Route 62 (CA-62) East. Continue on CA-62 until you reach CA-177 South, then merge onto CA-62 East again. Follow CA-62 until you reach the junction with Kelbaker Road and turn left. Follow Kelbaker Road until you arrive at the entrance to the Mojave National Preserve. Note that there are no entrance fees for the preserve.

Public Transportation
Public transportation options to Mojave National Preserve are limited. You can take a Greyhound bus to Barstow, California. From Barstow, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transit does not directly service Mojave National Preserve. Expect to pay around $30-$50 for a taxi from Barstow to the preserve, which is about 60 miles away. Be sure to check the Greyhound schedule in advance as it may not run frequently.

For the adventurous cyclist, biking to Mojave National Preserve is an option if you are in the surrounding areas.
