Public Transit - BART
Start at any BART station in Daly City. Purchase a ticket to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. Board the train and enjoy the ride, which will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Embarcadero station, follow the signs to exit the station towards the waterfront. After exiting, head towards the Ferry Building and continue walking towards Pier 33, which is about a 15-minute walk. Walk along the Embarcadero waterfront until you reach Pier 33, where you will find Alcatraz Landing.

Public Transit - Muni
If you prefer, you can take Muni buses from Daly City to downtown San Francisco. For example, take the 14 or 28 bus from Daly City BART station to the Montgomery St. station. From Montgomery St., transfer to Muni Line F (Market & Wharves) or a nearby bus heading towards the waterfront. Get off at the Embarcadero and walk towards Pier 33, following the waterfront signs until you reach Alcatraz Landing.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and wish to walk, consider starting at the Daly City BART station. Head east towards Mission St. and follow it towards San Francisco. This is a longer trek (approximately 8 miles), so ensure you are prepared for a lengthy walk. Once you reach the Embarcadero in San Francisco, continue on towards Pier 33 along the waterfront.
