From central Irvine, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Route 59 towards Long Beach. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Seal Beach Blvd & Pacific Coast Hwy stop. From there, walk north on Seal Beach Blvd for about 10 minutes. The Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right at 800 Seal Beach Blvd, Building 226.

If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Irvine. Head towards the Santa Ana River Trail, which is a scenic route. Follow the trail south until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left onto Pacific Coast Highway and continue until you reach Seal Beach Blvd. Turn right onto Seal Beach Blvd and bike for about 5 minutes until you see the entrance to the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge at 800 Seal Beach Blvd, Building 226.

For those who prefer to walk, start at the Irvine Spectrum Center. Walk south on Irvine Center Drive until you reach Michelson Drive. Turn left onto Michelson Drive and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Barranca Parkway. Turn right onto Barranca Parkway and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Pacific Coast Highway. Cross the highway and continue straight on Seal Beach Blvd for about 15 minutes. The Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left at 800 Seal Beach Blvd, Building 226.
