If you're traveling by car, head towards Seal Beach from anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley. Use the I-605 S freeway and take exit 15B for the I-405 S toward Long Beach. Continue on I-405 S for about 20 miles. Take exit 32 for Seal Beach Blvd. towards Seal Beach, and turn left onto Seal Beach Blvd. Continue on Seal Beach Blvd until you reach 1st St. Turn right onto 1st St and your destination, the San Gabriel River Basin Historic Marker, will be on your left at 102 1st St, Seal Beach, CA 90740. Parking is available in the surrounding area, but be aware that some lots may charge a fee of around $2-$5.

For public transportation, take the Metro Gold Line from any station in the San Gabriel Valley towards Union Station. At Union Station, transfer to the Metro Blue Line towards Long Beach. Get off at the Pacific Coast Hwy Station. From there, you can catch the Long Beach Transit Bus 21 towards Seal Beach. Get off at Seal Beach Blvd & 1st St. Walk west on 1st St for about 5 minutes to reach the San Gabriel River Basin Historic Marker located at 102 1st St, Seal Beach, CA 90740. The total cost for this journey will vary; a one-way Metro fare is approximately $1.75, and the Long Beach Transit fare is about $1.50.
