From downtown Long Beach, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Metro Blue Line (now known as the A Line) towards Washington Station. Get off at the Long Beach Transit Mall station. From there, transfer to the 91 bus heading eastbound. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Bixby Hill Rd and Los Coyotes Diagonal'. After you get off, walk east on Bixby Hill Rd for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens, located at 6400 E Bixby Hill Rd.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services. Start at the Long Beach Bike Share station located near the Long Beach Convention Center. Head north on Pine Ave until you reach E 7th St. Turn left onto E 7th St and continue until you reach the intersection with Los Coyotes Diagonal. Turn right onto Los Coyotes Diagonal and continue until you reach Bixby Hill Rd. Turn left and ride approximately 0.5 miles to reach Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens at 6400 E Bixby Hill Rd.

For those who enjoy walking, start at the Long Beach Museum of Art located on Ocean Blvd. Walk north on Junipero Ave until you reach E 7th St. Turn left onto E 7th St and continue until you reach Los Coyotes Diagonal. Turn right and walk northeast on Los Coyotes Diagonal. Once you reach Bixby Hill Rd, turn left and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles.
