From there, take the OCTA bus route 86 heading towards the Tustin Metrolink Station. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Jamboree Road and the 5 Freeway. From there, transfer to bus route 21 towards the Santiago Canyon College. Ride this bus for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at Santiago Canyon Road and Live Oak Canyon Road. Once you disembark, walk along Live Oak Canyon Road heading east for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance of Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike shop in Irvine. Begin your ride from the Irvine Spectrum Center, heading south on Alton Parkway. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jeffrey Road. Turn right on Jeffrey and follow it until you reach the intersection with Santiago Canyon Road. Take a left onto Santiago Canyon Road and ride for about 4 miles. Once you approach the intersection with Live Oak Canyon Road, turn right and continue about 1 mile to reach the entrance of Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.

    For those who enjoy walking, starting from the Irvine Civic Center, head east on Alton Parkway. Walk straight for about 2 miles until you reach Jeffrey Road. Cross the road and continue walking south on Jeffrey until you reach the intersection with Santiago Canyon Road. Walk east on Santiago Canyon Road for approximately 3.5 miles. Once you reach Live Oak Canyon Road, turn right and walk for about 1 mile to arrive at the entrance of Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.
