Getting There

• Car

  From the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center, head southwest on Park Blvd toward the intersection with Twentynine Palms Hwy (CA-62). After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Twentynine Palms Hwy (CA-62) and continue for approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Blair Lane, and after about 0.5 miles, the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum will be on your left at 62975 Blair Ln, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. There is no entrance fee for the museum, but make sure to check for any parking fees at nearby locations.

• Public Transportation

  If using public transportation, take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) bus from the Joshua Tree Visitor Center. The bus will take you towards Twentynine Palms. Get off at the closest stop to Blair Lane, which is the stop near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Hwy and Blair Lane. From there, it is approximately a 10-15 minute walk (about 0.5 miles) to the museum. Be aware that public transportation schedules may be limited, so check the MBTA website for the latest times and routes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Joshua Tree. From the Visitor Center, follow Park Blvd south to Twentynine Palms Hwy (CA-62). Turn left on Twentynine Palms Hwy and ride for about 4 miles, then turn right onto Blair Lane. The museum is located about 0.5 miles down Blair Lane on the left. Always wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic along the highway.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, you can walk to the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum from local accommodations. For example, if you are at a hotel in Joshua Tree town, head north on Park Blvd, then turn left onto Twentynine Palms Hwy. Walk approximately 4 miles, then right onto Blair Lane. The museum will be on your left. Ensure you have plenty of water and wear appropriate shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
