Bicycle
From the center of Joshua Tree, head east on Highway 62. After about 2 miles, turn left onto Park Boulevard, which leads into the Joshua Tree National Park. Continue straight for approximately 10 miles. The Coachella Valley Preserve is located just off the highway at the intersection with State Route 111. Look for signage directing you to the Preserve entrance.

Starting from the Joshua Tree Visitor Center, walk east along Park Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. At this point, you would need to continue walking on the side of the highway for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Coachella Valley Preserve. Be cautious of traffic, as this is a busy road. You may want to ask a local for directions to ensure you're on the safest path.

Public Bus
Take the public bus service that runs between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. Board the bus at the Joshua Tree bus stop located near the Visitor Center. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Coachella Valley Preserve stop. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you'll be dropped off close to the entrance of the Preserve.
