Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Napa. Head east on 1st Street toward Soscol Avenue. Turn left onto Soscol Avenue, which will merge into Highway 29 North. Continue on Highway 29 for about 5 miles. Take the exit toward Browns Valley Road. Turn right onto Browns Valley Road, and after about 1 mile, you will see the Carolyn Parr Nature Center on your left at 3107 Browns Valley Rd, Napa, CA 94558. There is free parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take the Vine Transit Route 10 from downtown Napa. The bus stop is located at the Napa Transit Center. Board the Route 10 bus heading towards American Canyon. Request a stop at the intersection of Browns Valley Road and Highway 29. From that stop, it is a 20-minute walk to the Carolyn Parr Nature Center. Walk east on Browns Valley Road for approximately 1 mile. Please check the Vine Transit schedule for bus timings and fares, which typically cost $1.50 for a one-way trip.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in downtown Napa. Head east on 1st Street toward Soscol Avenue, then follow the same route as the car guidance. Cycling along Highway 29 can be busy, so be cautious. You will have bike lanes along Browns Valley Road, making it a safer route. The total distance is about 6 miles from downtown Napa, and it takes approximately 30-40 minutes to ride there.
