From anywhere in San Francisco, take MUNI's historic F-Line trolley or the 8-Bayshore, 30-Stockton, 39-Coit, 47-Van Ness (temporarily suspended), or 49-Van Ness/Mission buses to Pier 39. San Francisco's famous cable cars also stop a few blocks away. A single ride on MUNI costs $3. Alternatively, from the East Bay, you can take BART to Embarcadero Station and transfer to the F-Line.

If you are already near Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 is easily accessible by foot. Simply walk along The Embarcadero towards the pier. The carousel is located towards the end of Pier 39. Be aware that the pier can get crowded, especially during peak season.
