Public Transport
From the Palo Alto Transit Center (Caltrain and VTA bus hub), transfer to the free Marguerite Shuttle. Several lines serve different parts of the Stanford campus. Check the Marguerite schedule for specific routes and stops. Alternatively, VTA bus lines also connect the transit center to the university. A single VTA bus fare is $2.50.

From downtown Palo Alto and the Palo Alto Transit Center, Stanford University is approximately a 20-30 minute walk. Head southwest on University Avenue, then turn left onto Palm Drive, the main entrance to the university. This route leads directly to the Oval and the Main Quad.

From Highway 101, exit onto Embarcadero Road heading west. Continue onto Galvez Street, which leads to the heart of Stanford's campus. Visitor parking is available in designated areas, typically marked with a green "P" or "E". Parking costs $1.50 per hour on weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM. Consider purchasing a one-day visitor permit for $16 at 340 Bonair Siding. Parking is usually free on weekends and holidays.
