    From downtown Berkeley, head east on University Avenue, then turn left onto Oxford Street. Turn right onto Hearst Avenue and follow it uphill to Gayley Road. Turn right onto Stadium Rim Way, then left onto Centennial Drive. Follow Centennial Drive to Grizzly Peak Boulevard. Turn right onto Grizzly Peak Boulevard and continue for about 2 miles. The steam trains will be on your right, with free parking available. Be aware that the parking lot can fill up quickly on busy days.

    From the Downtown Berkeley BART station, take AC Transit bus #67 to Tilden Park. From the bus stop on Grizzly Peak Blvd & Shasta Rd , it's approximately a 7-minute walk to the Redwood Valley Railway. A single ride on AC Transit costs $2.50.
