Getting There

    If you're already in Midtown Sacramento, you can easily walk to the California State Capitol Museum. Start at the intersection of 16th and J Streets, heading north on 16th Street. Continue walking for about 6 blocks until you reach the intersection with 10th Street. Turn left onto 10th Street, and you will see the entrance to the California State Capitol Museum at 1315 10th Street on your right. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    To take public transport, find the nearest light rail station, such as the 'Sacramento Valley Station' or '12th & I' station. Board the Blue Line towards 'Courtland' and get off at the 'Capitol Station.' From there, the Capitol Museum is just a short walk. Exit the station and head east on L Street for two blocks, then turn right on 10th Street. The museum will be on your left at 1315 10th Street. The fare for the light rail is approximately $2.50.
