Getting There

  • Public Transit - Muni

    If you are near the Montgomery Street BART station, take the Muni bus #5 (Fulton) from Montgomery St & California St. Ride the bus towards the Golden Gate Park. Get off at the Embarcadero & Green St stop. From there, walk towards the waterfront, and you will see the Exploratorium located at Pier 15.

  • Public Transit - BART

    Take the BART train to Embarcadero station. Once you exit, follow the signs to the Embarcadero. Walk north along the waterfront for about 10 minutes until you reach Pier 15, where the Exploratorium is located.

  • Walking

    If you are in the nearby area, such as Union Square, you can walk to the Exploratorium. Head east on Geary St until you reach the Embarcadero. Turn left and walk north along the waterfront for about 20 minutes until you reach Pier 15.

  • Public Transit - Cable Car

    Catch the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason cable car lines from Powell St. Ride to the end of the line and walk towards the waterfront. From there, walk south along the Embarcadero for about 15 minutes until you reach Pier 15, where the Exploratorium is located.
