If you are somewhere near the center of Fisherman's Wharf, you can easily walk to PIER 39. Start at the Fisherman's Wharf sign located at Jefferson Street. Head south on Jefferson Street towards Beach Street. At the intersection with Beach Street, turn left. Continue walking on Beach Street until you reach the Embarcadero. PIER 39 will be on your right. It's approximately a 10-minute walk.

You can take the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason cable car lines. The closest cable car stop is at the corner of Powell and California Streets. Ride the cable car towards the Hyde Street Pier. Get off at the stop near the corner of Beach Street. From there, walk towards the Embarcadero and turn right – PIER 39 will be ahead. The fare for the cable car is $8.00 per ride.
